Hytera SmartMDM IDS (Integrated Device Station)

Managing and securely storing evidence is an integral and vital part of any body camera solution – an effective evidence management platform protects not only the public involved in captured footage, but also enforcement personnel using bodycams and the organisations to which they belong.

Hytera SmartMDM IDS is a professional evidence management solution, which allows footage to be automatically uploaded and removed from the RVM for retrospective management and to ensure the camera’s available memory is always in optimal condition.

Secure evidence management

The evidence viewer is password protected to ensure only qualified personnel have access to vital evidence.

Automatic sync

RVMs will automatically be synced as soon as they are connected to the IDS. Evidence is removed from the camera to immediately free up its memory ready for the next shift, uploaded to a location determined by the user (such as the company’s secure PC network drive) and available to view in the IDS’s evidence viewer.

Multi-unit dock

Up to 16 RVMs can be managed at a time when used with Hytera’s optional MCA22 multi-unit data and charger dock*. The six-way docks have space for 6 additional batteries, which can be charged simultaneously whilst RVMs are docked for charging and data transfer.

Evidence analysis

Once uploaded to be viewed in the IDS’s evidence viewer, footage can be searched for based on date, file type (video, photo, audio) or the camera’s user ID.

Professional interface

SmartMDM IDS was designed for use in control rooms, and has a professional and intuitive user interface.

*VM550D is not compatible with the multi-unit data and charger dock.
